You may have heard that homemade onion ring security is the best way to protect your home from getting burgled.
But how do you get started?
Homemade onion ring decorations are a great way to get started, and there are many ways to make them.
Here are some ideas to get you started:A couple of basic steps:1.
Make a basic onion ring.2.
Cut off the outer layers of the ring.3.
Spread the outer layer on the outside of the lid.4.
Add the inner layers and seal the lid with a piece of tin foil.5.
Repeat with the inner layer.
Once you have made a basic, basic onion-ring security system, it is time to get creative with the decoration.
Here is a recipe for a simple, one-of-a-kind onion ring with an onion base and a tomato base:1 pound ground beef (you can substitute ground turkey, pork, chicken, or beef, or you can use ground turkey in place of the beef)1-1/2 teaspoons onion powder1-3 tablespoons tomato paste1 teaspoon salt (optional)1/4 teaspoon ground pepper1/8 teaspoon ground cloves (optional, if you don’t have garlic in your kitchen)3 tablespoons water (for sealing)1 cup sliced onions (1 cup chopped, roughly chopped)1 package (1-quart) frozen dried tomatoes (about 1/4 cup)1 teaspoon ground black pepperTo make the onion base, combine the ground beef, onion powder, tomato paste, and salt.
Stir in the garlic and water and stir until well combined.
Add the tomato paste and stir again until well mixed.
Add in the onion and the diced tomatoes.
Pour the mixture into a gallon zip-top bag.
Add enough water to cover the base of the onion.
Seal the bag and freeze the onion for a minimum of six months.
The onion ring should be quite firm, but it should still hold up to the elements.
It should be somewhat flat and not stick to your hand.
When you have a base to use, you can simply layer your onion ring over it.
For the tomato base, you just need to mix the tomato powder with salt and pepper.
I like to use an assortment of tomatoes, but you can choose whatever you like.
Once the tomato mixture is mixed, add the onions and the tomato and seal with the lid on.
The final step is to bake the onion ring for at least two hours in the oven.
While the onion is baking, cut a small hole in the lid and fill it with water.
After the lid is sealed, turn the heat to high and let the onion brown on both sides of the bottom of the pot.
Remove the lid from the pot and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let your onion stand for a few minutes.
When the onions are cool enough to handle, slice them and enjoy!
Once you’ve finished baking your onion base for a two-hour time, remove the onion rings and the lid to make the tomato topping.
Place the tomato sauce in a large bowl.
Add your onions and tomato sauce and stir to combine.
Taste the sauce and add more salt if needed.
You can either stir the sauce into the onion sauce to thin it, or use a food processor to blend the sauce.
Transfer the onion-base mixture to a small bowl and place it in the freezer.
After six to eight hours, remove it from the freezer and let cool to room temperature.
To make the topping, add about a tablespoon of tomato sauce to the base and mix well.
Pour into a small jar and refrigerate for up to two days.
Once the onions have cooled, cut your onions into slices and place them on top of the tomato-based tomato topping, forming the onion rim.
You will see a thick, crusty layer of tomato inside the tomato.
If you want, you may use a cheesecloth to roll the onion on top to make a more traditional onion ring decoration.
When the onion has cooled to room temp, you will notice a slightly sticky, buttery texture to it.
If it doesn’t stick to the edges of your fingers, just slice it up and put it in a bowl of ice water.
Then use a spoon to stir the cheese into the tomato filling, to keep the sauce from sticking to the onion while you are making the onion crust.
